The Worker Class Of Termites Are Considered To Be The Most Powerful

In the Sydney termite colony, the worker class of termites would do the job of looking for food for the entire colony. These workers are also responsible for the maintenance of the colony’s nest as well as for the food storage. Usually, these termite workers are blind because they have underdeveloped eyes. However, even with this limitation, these workers are considered to be the most powerful class of termites when it comes to destroying homes. They are also responsible for creating the nest for the colony.

The Soldier Termites Are Responsible For Defending The Colony

On the other hand, the soldier termites are responsible for defending the colony against ants. Ants are the known predator of termites. Soldiers have distinct features which allow them to protect their colony. Typically, these soldiers have enlarged jaws which are useful for their protection. There are some cases wherein these soldiers are unable to feed themselves because of the enlarged jaws. This is the reason why workers will have to feed them.
